We are seeking a Senior Engineer to lead construction operations on an €80 million Life Sciences project in Co. Limerick.
This key leadership role requires technical expertise, strong organisational skills and effective communication with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Project Management: Oversee construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards and budgets.
* Technical Expertise: Provide guidance and support to the project team, including engineers, site supervisors and subcontractors.
* Quality Control: Implement measures to ensure construction activities meet required standards and specifications.
* Coordination: Collaborate with architects, clients, subcontractors and suppliers for smooth project execution.
* Health and Safety: Promote strict adherence to health and safety regulations on construction sites.
* Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports and as-built drawings.
* Team Management: Provide leadership and guidance to junior engineers and site staff.
* Cost Control: Monitor project costs, identify cost-saving opportunities and implement effective strategies.
Requirements
* 3rd Level Qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
* Minimum of 4 years of experience in an engineering role in the construction sector.
* Experience with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 building contractor is highly desirable.
* Good IT skills.
* Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes and industry best practices.
* Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a project team, manage subcontractors and drive project success.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in the construction industry.
* Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
* Full driver's license.
