Overview
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Architect to join a leading banking client in Dublin on an initial 6-month contract.
The successful candidate will have a strong infrastructure background with a particular focus on security, identity, and access-related controls within enterprise environments.
This role will suit someone who can operate at both a design and hands-on architectural level, working closely with security, infrastructure, and platform teams to define and deliver robust, scalable, and secure solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and architecture of secure infrastructure solutions across enterprise environments
Define and support implementation of security-focused infrastructure patterns and standards
Work closely with security and infrastructure teams to ensure alignment with enterprise security principles
Contribute to identity, access, and certificate lifecycle management strategies
Support the design and governance of access control frameworks, including RBAC models
Engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable architectural solutions
Provide guidance on infrastructure security best practices and risk mitigation approaches
Review existing environments and recommend improvements in security posture and resilience
Key Skills & Experience
Proven experience as an Infrastructure Architect or similar senior infrastructure role within financial services or banking environments
Strong understanding of infrastructure security principles, including identity and access management concepts
Experience with certificate management, PKI infrastructure, and privileged access user/access management (PUAM/PAM concepts)
Solid understanding of RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) models and enterprise access design
Experience working in complex, regulated environments with strong governance requirements
Ability to engage with engineering and security teams to drive architectural decisions
Desirable Experience
Hands-on experience designing, implementing, or configuring tools such as Venafi and/or HashiCorp Vault
Exposure to large-scale enterprise security transformation programmes
Knowledge of automation and infrastructure-as-code principles
