About Your New Job As Commercial Underwriter you will provide underwriting support across multiple insurance lines including Commercial Combined, Miscellaneous, and Personal Accident portfolios for direct and broker-led SME and Member clients, ensuring alignment with agreed risk threshold and underwriting standards.
You will utilise underwriting tools and guidelines to support robust risk evaluation, accurate pricing and strong portfolio performance, escalating cases as appropriate.
You will contribute to contract certainty by reviewing policy wordings and endorsements for accuracy, clarity and compliance, reducing the risk of errors and claims inefficiencies.
As Commercial Underwriter you will support in the development of effective relationships with brokers and direct clients, assist with broker schemes, and provide underwriting support to Senior Underwriters and the Commercial Underwriting Manager.
What Skills You Need Have proven experience in underwriting Property, Liability, Commercial Combined, Miscellaneous, Motor, Home, and Personal Accident portfolios.
Have the ability to apply underwriting tools and guidance for accurate risk assessment and pricing.
Excellent communication skills to maintain relationships with clients and brokers.
