The position is split roughly as follows: 80% Node.js/TypeScript backend, 10% Angular frontend, and 10% Python AI services. A forward‑thinking team using Cursor as their primary development environment, powered by Claude AI for seamless AI‑assisted coding.
Location: Dublin City
Hybrid working: 3 days a week onsite
Essential skill-set
5+ years Node.js (NestJS / Fastify) / TypeScript
API Development: Built/integrated REST APIs; platforms exposing REST APIs (Node.js backends) + frontends consuming them
Databases: Designed efficient schemas, optimized SQL queries (PostgreSQL preferred; MySQL/SQLite accepted)
Test Automation: Jest & Playwright automated test suites
Production & Architecture :- Scalability/resilience expertise
Containerized-only: AWS EKS Kubernetes clusters required (no standalone VMs)
