Overview
AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Principal Civil Engineer for our Dublin office. The successful candidate will work as part of a diverse multidisciplinary team. The role provides the opportunity to contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects across the Aviation, Education, Residential, Healthcare, Industrial, Commercial, and Energy sectors, working with both public and private clients.
Your role
Lead the design and delivery of civil engineering projects.
Design input and oversight of the delivery of all Civil aspects of projects with a focus on drainage and watermain design.
Good knowledge of basic road design principles.
Preparation and review of project reports (Planning, Tender, Construction Stage).
Communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Preparation and review of design calculations.
Undertaking duties of Ancillary Certifier for the Civil engineering discipline on building projects.
Lead a small team of civil engineers and technicians.
Mentor and develop junior members of the team.
About you
Chartered Engineer with EI or equivalent.
Experience in leading local civil engineering projects.
Ability to work independently and oversee a small team.
Software design experience such as Causeway or Micro-drainage.
Good communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to prioritise and manage personal and team workload effectively.
