SAOR Practitioner – Midlands
Join a vital health-led initiative as a SAOR Practitioner supporting the Health Diversion Programme across the Midlands. This impactful role involves screening, brief intervention, and care coordination for individuals affected by substance use. Ideal for professionals with strong experience in addiction or social care services.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver SAOR Screening and Brief Interventions using Motivational Interviewing.
- Build referral pathways with An Garda Síochána, GPs, TUSLA, and community services.
- Provide onward referrals for complex or high-risk cases per the National Drugs Rehabilitation Framework.
- Liaise with HSE Addiction Services and Drug & Alcohol Task Forces to support integrated care.
- Track KPIs and contribute to programme development and evaluation.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in addiction or related social care.
- Trained in Motivational Interviewing (Level II), SBI, keyworking, and care planning.
- In-depth knowledge of local service networks and interagency working.
- Strong organisational, communication, and reporting skills.
- Full clean driving licence and access to own transport.
- QQI Level 6 (or higher) in health, social care, or addiction studies.
Salary & Benefits:
- €27.99/hour, with Double Pay on Sundays & Bank Holidays.
- Daytime hours, no night shifts.
