Site Manager – Residential Development (Wicklow)

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager for a major new residential development in Wicklow.
The project consists of a 60-unit mixed housing and apartment scheme and is ready for an immediate start.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled construction professional to step into a long-term, career-defining role with an expanding and well-established building contractor.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all on-site construction activities
Oversee site setup, ensuring all necessary facilities and services are in place
Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and team members for smooth site operations
Manage daily whiteboard meetings and two-week lookahead schedules
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations
Enforce quality control standards and project specifications
Maintain a detailed site diary including subcontractor activity and personnel levels
Liaise with the design team to ensure timely delivery of drawings and technical information
Collaborate closely with the Contracts Manager on project planning and execution
Attend weekly management team meetings and contribute to progress reporting
Motivate and manage on-site labour and subcontractor teams
Candidate Profile
Trade-qualified or technical background preferred
Minimum 5 years' experience in residential construction
Proven ability to manage housing/apartment projects from groundworks to handover
Excellent understanding of Irish building regulations and construction standards
Competent in reading construction drawings and coordinating with design professionals
Experience working with utility providers and managing installations
Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
