Health and Safety Officer required for Civils Utilities projects in Co. Tipperary & Co. Kilkenny.
The Role:
* Safety Management: Maintain and implement Health and Safety management systems and conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards.
* Risk Assessment and Control: Complete site specific risk assessments and develop RAMS for all activities ensuring appropriate control measures are in place.
* Training and Induction: Deliver site induction, toolbox talks and training sessions to employees, subcontractors and visitors.
* Incident management: Investigate all incidents, near misses and prepare detailed reports recommending corrective and preventative actions. Develop and implement site emergency response plans.
* Compliance and documentation: Ensure accurate records are maintained at all times including training, inspections and incidents etc. Assist in developing SOPs for key site processes.
* Communication: Work closely with project manager, engineers, site foremen and site supervisors to integrate safety into all site activities.
Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years experience in a Health and Safety role, ideally within civil engineering, construction or related industries.
* Recognised third level qualification in Health and Safety.
* Proven experience developing and implementing management systems and risk control processes.
* Strong knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation.
* Excellent communication, leadership and reporting skills.
* Ability to deliver training and safety briefings confidently to all levels of staff.
* Full, clean driving license.
Monday to Friday with possible weekend work.
