Job DescriptionWe are recruiting for a Health & Safety Officer to join our Clients team based in Cork
The Health & Safety Officer will support the implementation and monitoring of Health & Safety standards across civil construction projects. Ensure regulatory compliance, promote a strong safety culture, and assist in continuous improvement on active sites.Key ResponsibilitiesImplement and maintain project H&S plans, RAMS, and policies.Perform site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.Investigate incidents/near-misses and produce reports.Deliver inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.Maintain safety documentation and compliance records.Liaise with project teams, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies.Support corrective actions and continuous safety improvements.RequirementsEssential:Irish Level 7 qualification or NEBOSH Certificate.2–4 years' experience in civil construction, utilities, or infrastructure.Working knowledge of Irish H&S legislation and construction safety standards.Experience with risk assessments, method statements, and site inspections.Strong communication, reporting, and organisational skills.Full clean driving licence.Desirable:Experience with PSDP/PSCS duties.Additional relevant certifications (Safe Pass, Manual Handling, First Aid).Familiarity with ISO 45001/14001.Key CompetenciesAttention to detail • Problem-solving • Safety leadership • Time management • Team collaboration • Proactive risk awarenessSalary €45k DOE.
