Position: Demi Chef - Full-Time
Benavin Campus Nursing Home is dedicated to providing exceptional care in a warm, supportive, and person-centred environment. We are now seeking a passionate and reliable Demi Chef to join our catering team and help deliver high-quality, nutritious meals to our residents.
About the Role
As a Demi Chef, you will support the Head Chef and Chef de Partie in preparing, cooking, and serving well-balanced meals that meet the dietary needs of our residents. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their culinary skills in a friendly, structured, and rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with the preparation and cooking of daily meals in line with menus and dietary requirements
* Ensure food is prepared to high standards of quality, taste, and presentation
* Support the senior kitchen team in maintaining excellent food hygiene and safety standards
* Help with stock control, kitchen cleanliness, and daily checks
* Contribute to menu planning and special dietary requests
* Work collaboratively with the catering team to create a positive dining experience for residents
About You
* Previous experience in a kitchen environment, ideally in care, hospitality, or catering
* Basic food preparation skills with a willingness to learn and progress
* Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (Food Hygiene Certificate desirable)
* Reliable, organised, and able to work as part of a supportive team
* Warm, approachable, and committed to enhancing the wellbeing of residents
