This role involves ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely processing of transactions within the General Accounting team, in accordance with accounting guidelines for the Shared Service Centre (SSC).
Key responsibilities include:
1. Processing and analyzing financial data related to the General Accounting (GA) system, including creating and posting GL journals, month-end US GAAP reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, P&L reviews, bank reconciliations, managing manual recharges, and preparing corporate schedules.
2. Managing BS accounts, reconciliations, and monitoring.
3. Preparing the Annual Operating Plan and managing budgets.
4. Interacting with Accounts Payable & Receivable to resolve issues.
5. Producing statutory audit files and financial statements for EMEA, maintaining bridge reconciliations between US GAAP and Local GAAP, and managing relationships with external auditors.
6. Handling intercompany balances and transactions, ensuring they are supported by agreements and resolved timely.
7. Supporting tax computations in line with ASC740 and local tax requirements.
8. Completing internal audits and Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
9. Delivering excellent customer service and maintaining professional relationships within the SSC and with external teams.
10. Participating in SSC projects, including corporate balance sheet reviews.
Required skills and experience include:
* Statutory accounts & audit experience
* Sarbanes Oxley experience
* Proven business partnership skills
* High-volume reconciliation experience
* Excellent communication skills
* Knowledge of GA processes and procedures
* Strong analytical skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including macros
* Good attendance and timekeeping
* Technical competence and fluency in English
* Experience in diverse, multicultural environments and European languages preferred
* Shared Service Centre exposure
