Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Financial Operations Specialist to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. Reporting directly to the MD, this role will work closely with a respected accountancy firm who provide technical and consultancy advice.
Responsibilities
* Process payroll and payroll-related files in accordance with company policies and procedures
* Prepare VAT and VIES returns, including VAT RTD, accurately and within deadlines
* Manage creditors ledger processing and payments files, ensuring timely and efficient payment
* Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
* Oversee stock processing, maintaining accurate records and controls
* Maintain and reconcile fixed asset register, ensuring up-to-date and accurate information
* Prepare trial balance and nominal ledger, including accruals, prepayments, payroll, and VAT journals
* Coordinate intercompany reconciliations, ensuring smooth and efficient transactions
* Develop and maintain management accounts, providing insights for informed decision-making
* Reconcile debtors control, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records
Requirements
* Part or recently qualified accountant or accounting technician with a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role
* Hands-on experience processing payroll and VAT returns, with a strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
