The Role:This role is central to the delivery of Pieta's fundraising, communications, and brand strategy. It is focused on deepening donor understanding of Pieta's impact, increasing lifetime value, and strengthening donor relationships through meaningful, consistent, and motivating communications.The Individual Giving Lead is responsible for meeting monthly, quarterly, and annual income targets, delivering effective donor journeys, and coordinating cross-functional efforts that contribute to exceptional supporter experiences.This role suits a proactive, donor-focused professional with experience managing large donor files, leading direct marketing campaigns, overseeing financial processes, and developing long-term supporter journeys. Strong knowledge of GDPR and a commitment to ethical fundraising are essential.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement an annual direct mail programme comprising at least five campaigns per yearCollaborate with the digital team to deliver integrated, multi-channel campaignsEngage donors through supporter days, surveys, and other stewardship activitiesLead telemarketing programmes to thank donors, upgrade regular givers, convert one-time donors, and reactivate lapsed supportersSupport the development and delivery of the tax-efficient giving programme, including donor communications to increase participationLead Pieta's legacy giving strategy and manage correspondence with solicitors and executorsOversee the work of the Donor Care Administrator, ensuring high-quality data management and accurate reporting to support donor careEnsure all supporter communications comply with Pieta's policies, GDPR, and relevant sector regulations and codes of conductUse Pieta's fundraising project management system (Asana) to plan, track, and deliver tasks, manage deadlines, and collaborate effectively across teams in line with departmental processes.Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by your manager.Education, Skills and Experience Required:Minimum 4 years' experience in individual giving within a nonprofit or similar fundraising environmentRelevant qualification (e.g. marketing or fundraising) preferred; equivalent hands-on experience also valuedProven experience across direct marketing channels particularly direct mail, email, and telemarketing and ideally DRTV and digitalExperience supporting a large individual giving programme across multiple channels (online and offline), including appeals, newsletters, and tax-efficient givingExcellent CRM/database skills; Salesforce experience an advantageProficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applicationsStrong data skills – experienced in cleaning, segmenting, and analysing supporter dataProven ability to manage large-scale direct marketing campaigns and supplier relationships (e.g. agencies, printers, call centres)Excellent communication skills – written, verbal, and presentationStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and oversee staff and volunteersAbility to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlinesSolid understanding of the Irish nonprofit sector, donor charter, and compliance regulationsExpert knowledge of GDPR and its application to donor acquisition and stewardshipApplications for this post should be made via our website by 16th January 2026.
