Senior Security Administrator
We're working with a
global financial services organisation
to hire a
Senior IT Security Administrator
to join their internal IT Security function. This is a
hands-on, senior role
with strong exposure to
cloud security, IAM, scripting, and enterprise-scale infrastructure
, sitting within the organisation's
CSIRT
.
This role would suit someone who enjoys engineering solutions, running POCs, and working closely with architecture and platform teams in a complex, regulated environment.
The Role
* Engineer and maintain an
enterprise-class hybrid cloud infrastructure
* Act as a senior technical contributor within the
IT Security team
* Participate in
cyber security incident investigations
as part of the internal CSIRT
* Own and contribute to the
technical and architectural security design
, working closely with Security Architects
* Design, implement, and improve
Identity & Access Management (IAM)
solutions
* Run and evaluate
proofs of concept (POCs)
for new security technologies
* Develop
automation and scripts
to support security configuration, audits, and assessments
* Troubleshoot security incidents, identify root causes, and implement preventative controls
* Work closely with a wide range of
internal IT and platform teams
* Maintain documentation, diagrams, and security standards
* Operate within a structured
enterprise change management
and ticketing environment

Requirements
* 3+ years' experience in
enterprise cloud security environments
* 5+ years' experience across
Windows and Linux
infrastructure
* Strong understanding of
Linux and Windows security principles
* Proven ability to work in
large-scale, complex environments
* Strong communication skills and ability to clearly articulate technical decisions
* Comfortable working across multiple teams and priorities
Certifications
* Security+
(minimum requirement)
* Cloud security certifications (AWS / Azure) highly desirable
* Additional certifications such as RHCSA, AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Security, MCSE beneficial
