Sales Applications Engineer An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sales Applications Engineer to join a growing organisation within the power generation and energy sector. This is a newly created role due to continued business expansion, offering the chance to play a key part in supporting major industrial and public sector projects across Ireland. Reporting to the Head of Sales Ireland, you will work closely with sales, engineering, service and project delivery teams to develop technical and commercial solutions for customers. The Role This position is focused on technical sales support, applications engineering and tendering rather than traditional field sales. Key responsibilities include: Reviewing customer specifications and technical requirements Preparing quotations, tenders and technical proposals Developing project cost estimates and assessing commercial viability Supporting customers with tailored engineering solutions Managing tender submissions and sales opportunities Providing technical support throughout the sales process Conducting site visits when required Collaborating with internal teams to deliver cost-effective solutions You will have a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification and experience within a technical sales, applications engineering, tendering, estimating or bid management environment. We are particularly interested in candidates from backgrounds such as: Power Generation CHP (Combined Heat & Power) Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) Generator Systems Energy Infrastructure Electrical Engineering Industrial Engineering You should also possess: Strong technical and commercial awareness Experience developing technical proposals and cost estimates Excellent communication and customer relationship skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems A full driving licence What's on Offer?
