Job Description

Treaty United FC seeks an experienced and visionary leader to drive the club's commercial growth, financial sustainability, operational excellence, and community engagement.

The MD will oversee all non-playing aspects of the club, ensuring that all commercial, financial, operational, and community activities work cohesively to support the club's sustainability and growth.

This leader will shape and execute the long-term business strategy, guaranteeing the club thrives off the pitch while enabling the football side to succeed on it.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the club's long-term business strategy in alignment with the Board's vision.
2. Provide leadership across all non-playing departments, fostering a culture of professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement.
3. Ensure that all commercial, financial, operational, and community activities work cohesively to support the club's sustainability and growth.
4. Act as a strategic partner to football leadership, ensuring the off-field infrastructure and resources enable success on the pitch.

Commercial Development

1. Lead and expand all commercial initiatives to strengthen the club's financial base and brand presence.
2. Drive innovative revenue streams and fan engagement strategies that grow the club's profile locally, nationally, and internationally.
3. Safeguard and enhance Treaty United FC's brand identity, ensuring consistency across all channels and experiences.

Matchday & Fan Experience

1. Oversee all aspects of matchday operations and fan experiences, ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and engaging environment at every home fixture.
2. Work to continuously improve the supporter journey from ticket purchase through to post-match engagement, reinforcing Treaty United FC as a club that delivers outstanding experiences both on and off the pitch.

Facility Management

1. Oversee operations and development of Markets Field and future venues, ensuring facilities meet the highest standards of safety, compliance, and efficiency.
2. Plan for both short-term upkeep and long-term enhancement, while driving commercialization through events, partnerships, and community use.

Financial Oversight

1. Develop and manage the annual budget, ensuring robust financial controls, cash flow management, and transparent reporting to the Board.
2. Oversee financial planning and resource allocation to guarantee the club's sustainability and support its long-term ambitions.

People Leadership

1. Provide leadership across the club's workforce, including full-time and part-time staff, volunteers, and students, ensuring they are engaged, supported, and aligned with the club's objectives.
2. Foster a positive, inclusive, and professional culture while maximizing their contributions to matchday operations, community programs, and commercial initiatives.

Governance & Compliance

1. Ensure compliance with League of Ireland, FAI, and regulatory requirements.
2. Maintain transparent governance and provide regular reporting to the Board.
3. Uphold the highest standards of integrity, accountability, and ethical conduct across all areas of the club.

Community & Stakeholder Engagement

1. Develop and nurture strong relationships with business, civic, and community partners to reinforce the club's position as a trusted and valued regional institution.
2. Lead initiatives that expand the club's commercial and social impact through sponsorships, partnerships, corporate engagement, and community programs.
3. Support and complement the football leadership's community presence by ensuring the club's off-field activities, partnerships, and resources contribute meaningfully to the region while enhancing the club's reputation and brand.

1. Proven leadership in sports management or a related industry.
