HVAC / Refrigeration Design EngineerAbout the Employer Our client is an established engineering manufacturer specialising in bespoke cooling and environmental control systems. Due to continued growth, they are expanding their in‑house design team. The Role We are recruiting a Refrigeration / HVAC Design Engineer to join a technically focused engineering team responsible for developing and improving specialist cooling products. This is a design‑centric role with involvement across the full product lifecycle — from concept and modelling through to prototyping, testing, and production release. Key Responsibilities Design refrigeration and cooling systems for bespoke engineering projects Specify and size compressors, valves, and system components Develop piping layouts and technical drawings Support prototype assembly and controlled performance testing Evaluate system efficiency, reliability, and compliance Prepare engineering documentation and technical literature Create production‑ready designs including BOMs and wiring layouts Support factory acceptance testing and quality procedures Participate in commissioning activities where required Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives Candidate Requirements Qualification in Refrigeration, HVAC, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline Proven experience in refrigeration or HVAC system design and component selection Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate technical documentation What’s On Offer A long‑term opportunity working on high‑value engineering projects, with strong career development, ongoing training, and a competitive salary and benefits package.
