EPOS Database Administrator (DBA)
to take ownership of the EPOS data systems. This role is key to ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and accessibility of our large, data-driven environment — supporting effective commercial and operational decision-making across the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and maintain large EPOS databases containing extensive product and transactional data.
* Use
advanced Excel skills
to manipulate, analyse, and present complex datasets effectively.
* Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of all EPOS-related data.
* Compile and deliver
clear, insightful management reports
from multiple data sources.
* Monitor and improve data processes to support commercial, purchasing, and supplier functions.
* Work cross-functionally to interpret business needs and deliver actionable data insights.
* Uphold rigorous standards for data governance, integrity, and compliance.
About You
* Proven experience managing and maintaining
large, data-heavy systems
, ideally within a retail or EPOS environment.
* Strong general IT knowledge, particularly in
data-driven systems
(Python, SQL etc...).
* Demonstrated ability to produce concise, meaningful
management and performance reports
.
* Excellent attention to detail and a
methodical, accuracy-first
approach to data management.
* Strong
communication and collaboration
skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across departments.
* Familiarity with
EPOS systems
is essential.
