Staff Nurse Endoscopy
to join a reputed hospital in Dublin, Ireland.
Responsibilities
Communicate effectively, reporting patient care information verbally and in writing to nursing, medical, and multidisciplinary teams using the ISBAR handover tool.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and confidential patient records in line with policies, procedures, and approved documentation standards.
Ensure compliance with medication management policies, including safe storage and accurate recording of controlled drugs.
Perform clinical procedures, including IV cannulation, in accordance with hospital policies and best practice guidelines.
Deliver high-quality, compassionate care while maintaining a professional approach with patients, families, and colleagues.
Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations, demonstrating sound clinical judgment and composure.
Work autonomously when required, taking charge in the absence of the CNM and escalating concerns appropriately.
Support team coordination by liaising with other departments, managing stock levels, and ensuring efficient use of resources.
Mentor and support student nurses, newly qualified staff, and healthcare assistants, promoting a culture of learning and best practice.
Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, audits, incident reporting (including Q Pulse), and hospital accreditation processes while participating in ongoing professional development.
Requirements
Be a Registered General Nurse on the current live register of Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
Minimum of 2 years' relevant post-registration experience.
Proven experience working within a multidisciplinary (multi-professional) healthcare environment.
Good IT skills are desirable.
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required.
