Afternoon Shift Food Packaging Supervisor - Avoca Central Bakery & Kitchen Bray. Avoca operates in 13 locations across the country. Our ethos is to cherish time-honoured traditions while looking to the future, with award-winning cafes, restaurants and food markets offering artisanal ingredients.
Role Purpose
The Food Packing Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day function of the CBK packing team. This is a highly focused operational role. Working with the Avoca CBK Manager and Culinary Lead, the Packaging Supervisor will ensure all production is packed correctly within the shift. They will collaborate with support functions & CBK Management to manage products being packed correctly, maintain quality of packed product, and ensure labelling is correct.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
* Oversee the management and control of Food Packing, while maintaining the heritage of Avoca.
* Ensure the Department is operated efficiently and in compliance with Food Safety Quality standards, Safety, Business Excellence, Commercial, Buying, and Legal requirements.
* Establish processes and controls for assigned inventories, including FIFO, shelf-life management, temperature, and HACCP controls.
* Manage workflow and activities, proper storage, inventory accuracy, reports, and actions to reduce loss or wastage.
* Ensure daily/weekly routines and delivery schedules are executed per plan to avoid disruption to CBK operations.
* Ensure all documentation and processes are compliant with corporate, regulatory and HACCP requirements. Participate in required audits.
* Manage capacity, including equipment, storage solutions and workflow processes within the team.
* Drive programmes and initiatives through operations, loss prevention, operational standards, and cost control to deliver overall Avoca business profitability.
* Ensure staff are aware of all Health and Safety regulations.
Key Requirements
* Experienced within a packaging operation, with supervisory experience an advantage.
* Experience of working in a cross-functional company with different reporting structures.
* Ability to work under own initiative.
* A confident and analytical mind-set.
* Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and oral communication.
* Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible in approach.

This is a full-time role, based in Bray, Co Wicklow. Full time, afternoon shift (12 - 9pm or 1pm - 11pm), Monday to Friday.
