Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join our Paediatric Primary Care team in Limerick. As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will take a leading role in the delivery and coordination of Paediatric services within a dynamic multidisciplinary team.
You will be responsible for managing a varied caseload of children aged 0-18 with complex needs, contributing to service development, supporting junior staff, and acting as a key clinical resource within the team.
Main Responsibilities:
* Deliver advanced Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention for children with developmental, sensory, and physical challenges.
* Provide clinical leadership and support to junior team members, including mentoring, supervision, and case consultation.
* Manage a complex caseload, prioritising care needs while promoting functional independence and participation in everyday activities.
* Collaborate closely with families, educators, and allied health professionals to ensure holistic and coordinated care.
* Contribute to the planning and development of paediatric Occupational Therapy services within the team.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* CORU registration as an Occupational Therapist.
* Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience, ideally including paediatrics or community-based care.
* Strong clinical reasoning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* Demonstrated experience in multidisciplinary team working and case coordination.
* Proven ability to manage a complex caseload and support service development.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on family-centred care.
