We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced and drivenRestaurant Managerto join our team at the Tower Hotel Waterford.This is a full-time leadership role responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional 4-star service standards, and supporting wider hotel functions and events. The role requires flexibility to work midweek and weekends, with occasional Duty Management shifts.At the Tower Hotel, our Restaurant Team plays a vital role in delivering a professional and memorable dining experience to all guests. The successful candidate will lead by example and contribute to the smooth and effective running of all aspects of restaurant service, ensuring the highest standards of efficiency, professionalism and guest care at all times.Who We Are:The Tower Hotel is Waterford's premier 4-star city centre hotel, superbly located overlooking the Marina and Reginald's Tower. Just a short stroll from the city's shopping and entertainment hotspots and the main business district, the hotel is renowned for its excellent service and welcoming atmosphere.We are proud to be part of the Neville Hotel Group, a family-owned Irish hotel group with six iconic properties:The 4* Royal Marine Hotel - Dun LaoghaireThe 5* Druids Glen Hotel & Golf Resort - WicklowThe 4* Kilkenny River Court Hotel - KilkennyThe 4* Tower Hotel & Leisure Centre - WaterfordThe Ravenport Resort - Curracloe, WexfordWhites of Wexford - Wexford TownWe are committed to delivering genuine Irish hospitality, warmth, and consistently high standards of service across all departments.The Role:As Restaurant Manager, you will:Provide leadership and direction to the restaurant team, ensuring service excellence at all times.Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, maintaining 4-star standards of service and presentation.Anticipate guest needs and proactively manage expectations.Ensure prompt and professional resolution of guest queries and complaints.Support recruitment, training and development of team members, ensuring training is documented.Foster a positive working environment that promotes morale, teamwork and pride in the department.Monitor billing, payments and ensure accurate transactions.Oversee and support the execution of events, conferences and group bookings within the hotel.Maintain full knowledge of the hotel's facilities and services.Ensure compliance with all health, safety, hygiene and quality standards.Handle emergencies and unexpected operational issues efficiently.On occasion, carry out Duty Management shifts as required.This role requires a hands-on, organised and guest-focused leader who thrives in a busy hospitality environment.Requirements:Minimum of two years' supervisory or management experience within a hotel or hospitality environment.Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.Excellent guest care and customer service skills.A mature, positive and professional manner.Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.High attention to detail and operational standards.Flexibility to work midweek, weekends and occasional night shifts.In Return, We Offer:Pension contribution - for those who wish to contribute to a pension from their salary, Neville Hotels will match the employee contribution up to a maximum of 4% of Gross Salary in addition to this per annum.Management sick pay scheme.
