Director of Operations - Data Center Operations Management About the Company Our client is a large European Construction Group consisting of multiple integrated group companies involved in the turnkey delivery of Data Centres throughout Europe with further expansion into the US and the Middle East planned in the short term. They have recently opened a Dublin Office and the position can be based there. About the Role They are seeking a Senior Director, to report to a Senior Vice President to lead an international startup initiative focused on entering Data Centre Operations Management. Data centre experience is essential for this role. The goal of this strategy is to create an after sales service that can be added onto the end of a construction project. Responsibilities: Spearhead the BU strategic plan focused on near term objectives & delivering long term, profitable, business outcomes. Accountable for financial performance of the new business unit (annual budgeting, end of month reporting to executive team, monthly contract status analysis and cost forecasting). Develop a data centre management operational system to standardise the service as the business scaled. Commercial lead for all contracts, as well as being accountable for maintaining operational risk within pre-agreed boundaries. Steer the sales, marketing & tender initiative for this new service to develop the opportunity pipeline and acquire new contracts. Oversee day-to-day operations of the Data Centre Management (DCM) business to ensure regulatory & contract compliance. Recruit, develop & lead a new team who align with the companys core values and who can deliver the new service. This is a senior role within the organisation with huge growth potential for the successful candidate. Remuneration and conditions are flexible and will be commensurate to the seniority and the time requirement of the role. Although the role can be based in Ireland, international travel is expected.
