Our client, pharmaceutical company based in Co. Galway, is seeking a Project Manager to lead a Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) project onsite. The role will involve coordinating cross-functional teams and supporting the delivery of the project within a GMP-regulated environment.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare key project deliverables, including schedules, work plans, and equipment cost tracking.
* Coordinate project activities between internal and external stakeholders.
* Manage installation, commissioning, and start-up of the Waste Water Treatment Plant.
* Oversee WWTP construction, equipment integration, utilities tie-ins, and validation readiness.
* Ensure WWTP design and operation align with environmental, health & safety (EHS) and regulatory compliance requirements.
* Monitor project costs and progress, tracking process suite team milestones and preparing status updates for stakeholders and project tier meetings.
* Support cross-functional project teams to ensure stakeholder inputs and requirements are clearly defined and incorporated into deliverables.
* Liaise with WWTP equipment vendors, engineering partners, regulatory bodies, and SMEs across the wider network to support project delivery.
* Coordinate FATs/SATs and support commissioning & qualification activities related to the wastewater system.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering (B.Sc., M.Sc. or M.Eng.).
* Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering (e.g., Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical, or Process Engineering).
* Minimum of 6 years' engineering or project management experience, preferably with exposure to Wastewater treatment systems (biological, chemical, or physical treatment processes).
* Utilities/start-up, commissioning, or environmental infrastructure projects.
* GMP or pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.
* Strong understanding of environmental regulations, site utilities, and EHS considerations related to wastewater systems.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team.
