Care Network Ireland are currently recruiting Drivers/Porters for a facility in Waterford.
This critical role supports the safe and efficient movement of patients, staff, equipment, and supplies within hospital and healthcare facilities.
You will play a vital part in ensuring that essential services run smoothly while maintaining the highest standards of safety, hygiene, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities Drive HSE vehicles safely and in accordance with traffic laws and organisational policies.
Transport patients, staff, medical supplies, and equipment throughout the facility.
Assist with loading, unloading, and general porter duties.
Maintain vehicle cleanliness, report defects, and ensure roadworthiness.
Adhere strictly to health safety, infection control, and fire safety procedures.
Communicate courteously and professionally with staff, patients, and visitors.
Complete mandatory HSEland training and any additional in-service instruction.
Undertake additional duties as reasonably assigned by management.
Essential Requirements Full, clean Category B driving licence held for over 2 years .
Relevant experience in a healthcare, residential, or portering environment.
Physically capable of performing all duties of the post.
Eligible to work in Ireland and of good character.
Flexible to work shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
Desirable Category D licence (bus) QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support or equivalent First Aid certification
