Job Title: Healthcare Assistant (HCA)
Location: Clondalkin & Ballyfermot Areas
Evening hours available (6pm-10pm) – work as many evenings as you like
Weekend hours – work 1 day (Saturday or Sunday) or both; applicants must be available 8am-9pm
A driving licence and access to a vehicle is required
Care assistants normally drive to and from visits, but also use bicycles, e‑bikes, scooters and walk to visits
Pay & Benefits
€15.50 per hour for qualified and experienced carers (2 QQI modules – Care Skills & Care of Older Person)
€17.60 per hour on Sundays
Double pay on Bank Holidays (€31.00 per hour)
Bi‑weekly pay
Travel payment between client visits

Role Description
Bluebird Care Dublin West is looking for dedicated Healthcare Assistants to deliver high‑quality care to clients in their own homes in Clondalkin & Ballyfermot Areas.
Responsibilities
Assist with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting)
Hospital hosting, patient moving & handling
Help with meals and feeding support
Provide companionship and emotional reassurance
Perform light housekeeping (tidying, laundry, etc.)
Support clients with mobility and transfers
Accurately follow and document care plans
Encourage independence, dignity, and wellbeing
Qualifications
QQI Level 5 modules: Care Skills or Healthcare Support, Care of the Older Person, Patient Moving & Handling Certificate (training available)
OR 1+ year of care experience and willingness to complete the two required modules (free training provided)
Good spoken and written English
Full Irish driving licence and access to a vehicle
Legal right to work in Ireland – no sponsorship available
