Agri Purchasing Coordinator
FRS Recruitment is now working with a leading Irish Agri Coop to fill the role of Agri Purchasing Coordinator. This is a full-time permanent position that will suit candidates from an Agri, Farming, Construction, Hardware or General Stores background.
This role combines administrative and purchasing duties with store operative work, requiring strong IT skills and a hands-on approach.
Main Responsibilities:
* Day-to-day store duties at our central store & yard
* Working with the purchasing manager to purchase and supply stock for 20 business units throughout Ireland
* Maintaining stock control duties and updating relevant information on our Stock management System
* Being an integral member of an efficient & cohesive Materials Management team
Key Tasks:
* Unloading, checking and storing deliveries arriving into stock
* Preparing, loading and dispatching orders to customers
* Driving a Forklift and Teleporter to load and unload trucks
* Maintaining a safe, tidy and proper condition in the store and yard
* Developing and growing an Online Shop
Purchasing Duties:
* Liaising with managers and stores staff across the country on material requirements, pricing and product changes
* Issuing requests, quotes and proposals for materials, considering quality, price and lead time
* Coordinating shipments and logistics for smooth and timely delivery of goods
* Researching new products that may benefit the business
Stock System Maintenance Duties:
* Recording all transactions on our IT stock control system
* Generating purchase orders for centrally held stock and stores throughout the country
* Maintaining and reconciling the Stock System and price database
* Completing regular stocktakes and updating the Stock System
* Maintaining the Online Shop database in a correct and efficient manner
