Business Manager - Corporate Bank
Role Purpose
To provide strategic and operational support across Ireland and the International business units by coordinating projects, driving delivery of key initiatives, managing communications, and ensuring seamless stakeholder engagement across functions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Partner with the Country Lead to manage day-to-day operations and ensure alignment with business objectives.
* Support delivery of branch and international unit plans, including financial targets, project milestones, reporting, and stakeholder commitments.
* Develop and maintain proactive working relationships across internal departments and external counterparts to enable efficient decision-making and execution.
* Monitor and track project progress to ensure alignment with agreed priorities and deadlines.
* Stakeholder Engagement & External Relations
* Act as the key contact point for external queries and industry engagement on behalf of the branch.
* Represent the organisation with industry bodies and professional associations, contributing to sector conversations and positioning.
* Build and manage a network of internal and external stakeholders to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration.
* Lead the development and execution of external communication strategies, including media relations, reputation management, and corporate branding.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure compliance with communications standards and regulatory guidelines.
* Manage vendor relationships (e.g., PR agencies) to support campaign execution and content development.
* Identify and manage operational risks related to the scope of the role, ensuring appropriate mitigations are in place.
* Contribute to the branch’s governance structure by supporting regulatory, conduct, and reporting requirements.
* Oversee the delivery of projects and initiatives as assigned by senior leadership, including areas such as conduct risk and compliance.
* Support insurance oversight through service-level monitoring and coordination with relevant teams.
Qualifications & Experience
* Degree in a business-related field or relevant professional qualifications.
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in financial services or a comparable corporate environment, with exposure to multiple functions.
* Demonstrated success in a management role, including interaction with senior stakeholders and cross-functional leadership.
* Experience in communications, and managing external stakeholders is strongly preferred.
* Strong operational focus with excellent execution and follow-through.
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal.
* Business acumen and sound judgment in a corporate environment.
* Proven ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
* Well-versed in corporate governance, operational risk, and stakeholder management.
