Quantity Surveyor
Our client is a well-established fit-out contractor within the construction sector, recognised for delivering quality workmanship and long-term project success. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Dublin.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2–3 years' experience to gain full exposure to all aspects of the business — from tendering and cost control to project delivery — working closely with senior management and contributing directly to the company's commercial success.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the preparation, submission, and negotiation of tenders and contract variations
* Measure and value work done on-site and prepare interim valuations
* Prepare cost reports and monitor project budgets against actual costs
* Liaise with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure effective cost management
* Prepare and submit monthly applications for payment and final accounts
* Support the commercial team in procurement and subcontractor management
* Contribute to process improvements and the continuous development of commercial practices within the company
Requirements
* Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
* 2–3 years' experience in a similar role within the construction industry (sub-contracting experience advantageous)
* Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail
* Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
* Proficient in MS Office and industry-standard measurement software
* Self-motivated, organised, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
