Instructor (Senior Grade)/Day Service Coordinator
Job Description:
Limerick Region offers a variety of residential, day, respite, assessment, and clinical services to individuals with varying degrees of intellectual disability. Many of the people we support have additional needs, including autism, behaviours that challenge, and physical or sensory disabilities.
At least 4 years experience of working with people with intellectual disabilities and dual diagnosis is required. A level 8 qualification in teaching, training and development, applied social studies/social care, psychology or other relevant qualification is also necessary.
A working knowledge of the New Directions Framework is expected. Experience in leading a team of staff in the development and implementation of person centred planning framework is highly desirable. Supervisory ability and capability in the management of staff and people supported by the services is essential.
Responsibilities:
* Assist in service planning.
* Supervise staff and manage resources effectively.
* Provide support to individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
* Evaluate compliance with HIQA standards and regulations.
* Maintain accurate records and reports as required.
