Job Purpose:
To take overall responsibility for the department, improve existing customer relations & develop new ones, manage supplier relationships and agreements. To lead the team and ensure excellent customer service and support, and to grow the business in line with strategic plans.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
8. Continually review & analyse the business, implementing agreed strategic plans
9. Continually monitor & improve customer service levels being delivered by the team
10. Oversee the management of stock (daily & emergency orders, new and warranty parts returns)
11. Monitor, analyse and report monthly on department performance against budgets and KPIs
12. Compile Parts tender submissions
13. Manage key accounts
14. Business development, including travelling to customers and prospect premises
15. Assist in managing departmental/product promotions & participate in company events
16. Manage supplier relationships, agreements and service levels
17. Prepare annual budgets, managing departmental costs in line with company budgets
18. Collaboration with and support of the other departments within the business
19. Manage performance and work standards of the team, administering corrective action and support as required
20. Comply with and enforce Company Policies and procedures
21. Complete regular Probation Review meetings for new employees and participate in the on-going employee appraisal process
22. Manage day to day HR related processes (e.g. holiday approvals, absences etc.)
23. Maintain high standards of housekeeping, maintaining a safe working environment
24. Organise, manage and attend exhibition's & shows, occasionally may include weekends
25. Identify training & development requirements for members of the Partech team
26. Participate in training and development programmes as required by the Company
27. Undertake any other duties or activities as required
Skills Profile:
28. 5+ years Automotive Spare Parts experience (HGV's/PSV's an advantage) and/or tool/power tool industry also at management level
29. Business development skills and experience growing a business, experience of e-commerce an advantage
30. Technical understanding of commercial vehicles
31. Proven leadership, managerial and people development skills
32. Excellent interpersonal skills
33. Strong business acumen
34. Proven 'customer first' service delivery track record
35. Strong negotiation skills
36. Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a busy working environment
37. Competent IT skills including Excel (intermediate level or above), MAM experience an advantage
