Responsibilities
You oversee daily physical security operations, including guard force management, lobby operations, patrols, and access control oversight.
You conduct daily walkthroughs and safety inspections across lobbies, parking areas, interiors, exteriors, and high-risk zones, identifying hazards and coordinating corrective actions with Facilities and EHSS.
You manage onboarding/offboarding of contracted security staff, validate training compliance, maintain rosters, and ensure proper access provisioning and deactivation.
You lead daily or shift-start briefings, perform spot checks on guard performance, and ensure all posts are staffed and supported with required equipment.
You coordinate on-site emergency response, act as the incident lead, and liaise with law enforcement, fire, and EMS when needed.
You support HR/ER investigations by reviewing CCTV, extracting access logs, building timelines, and documenting incidents while maintaining confidentiality.
You plan and execute security support for on-site events, ensuring appropriate staffing, access controls, emergency readiness, and a post-event debrief.
You monitor incident trends, maintain logs, and compile weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on incidents, KPIs, staffing, risks, and corrective actions.
You continuously review physical security procedures for assigned locations to ensure industry best practices and appropriate mitigation strategies are utilized.
Qualifications
You bring strong leadership skills and excel at guiding contracted guard staff through clear expectations, coaching, accountability, and daily operational support.
You have a solid understanding of physical security operations, access control systems, CCTV usage, incident documentation, and compliance standards.
You communicate effectively across functions, engaging professionally with Facilities, HR, EHSS, IT, site leadership, and external responders.
You are proactive in identifying risks, analysing incident trends, and implementing preventive or corrective actions.
You remain calm during emergencies, make quick decisions, and can confidently lead on-site response and communication.
You are detail-oriented, ensuring accuracy in logs, pass-downs, training records, badge management, and audit documentation.
You build strong relationships with vendors, ensuring high performance, adherence to standards, and alignment with Dexcom expectations.
You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable adjusting to evolving staffing, operational, and site needs.
Experience & Education
Minimum of three years overseeing security personnel, contracted guard forces, or comparable frontline operational teams in the private sector.
Active membership in relevant security communities (e.g., ASIS) to stay current on best practices, emerging threats, and industry standards.
Bachelor's degree and 5–8 years of industry experience, including proven experience leading a guard force.
