Operating System Manager
A critical role within our organization, the Operating System Manager is responsible for developing and implementing lean manufacturing processes to drive operational excellence.
The successful candidate will oversee all continuous improvement projects, standardizing our manufacturing processes to ensure maximum efficiency.
This position reports directly to the Operations Director and oversees three plants in the North of Ireland.

Responsibilities

* Develop and implement strategies aligned with company goals

* Collaborate with operations managers and team leaders to execute performance improvement initiatives
">
* Lead and coach operational leaders to integrate functions across the full value chain
">
* Drive initiatives to reduce lead times, improve customer service levels, lower operational costs, and enhance cash flow
">
* Develop the team's continuous improvement capabilities and lead ongoing enhancement of Vertiv's standards, processes, and methodologies
">
* Coordinate and oversee daily activities of VOS (operating system) Coordinators and their support staff
">
* Ensure alignment with and adherence to VOS specifications and framework
">
* Lead the VOS Steering Committee and make decisions with direct impact on company operations and customer outcomes

Qualifications

* Minimum 3-5 years experience applying Lean/Six Sigma methodologies
">
* Continuous Improvement and Manufacturing Engineering Leadership skills
">
* Analytical skills, including statistical modeling methods, root cause analysis, and other tools and techniques commonly used to support operational improvements
">
