The position of a Clinical Nurse Manager involves working within a team that provides healthcare services to young adults in a detention campus. This role requires collaboration with multiple stakeholders and utilizes comprehensive physical and mental health nursing skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Integrated Primary Healthcare: Develop and implement holistic care plans for patients, focusing on delivering comprehensive physical and mental health services in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.
* Nursing Assessments and Reporting: Conduct thorough assessments, collect medical histories, and produce detailed reports for courts and placement planning purposes.
* Safeguarding and Compliance: Ensure adherence to legal requirements, such as the Children First Act 2015, and maintain effective communication with child protection officers when necessary.
* Medication Management and Health Promotion: Safely manage medication administration and design health education programs to promote holistic care planning.
Requirements:
* Registration with the NMBI in good standing is mandatory.
* A minimum of one year of experience post-registration in an acute setting is required.
