Job Description – Logistics Coordinator
We are seeking an experienced, organised, committed, and enthusiastic Logistics Coordinator to join our client's team.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Expertise in warehousing, inventory management, and freight forwarding
* A strong understanding of supply chain processes, including common challenges and effective solutions
* Quick critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities
* Proficiency in using computers, WMS software, and other technology for inventory management and communication
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain strong relationships
* Strong collaboration and teamwork abilities
* The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
* Exceptional organisational and multi-tasking skills
* Time-management and goal-setting capabilities
* A passion for delivering excellent customer service
* Experience in tracking products and shipments across multiple channels
* Familiarity with regulations and ISO requirements as they apply to logistics
* The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Driving License and own vehicle (Location and limited public transport)
Responsibilities:
* Planning, organising, and executing logistics support activities such as stock management, order processing, fulfilment, scheduling, shipment planning, and freight expediting
* Updating transactions on our Warehouse Management System
* Accruing costs and pricing jobs
* Expediting the movement of goods to maximise value and minimise costs
* Coordinating material, supplies, and finished product availability and allocation
* Collaborating with other departments to meet customer requirements and seize sales opportunities
* Building mutual trust and respect among team members
* Setting goals, prioritising, organising, and completing work effectively
* Making data-driven decisions and solving problems
* Supporting team activities by establishing priorities, scheduling, and tracking
* Communicating effectively with all levels of staff
* Implementing plans in line with Quality Management and Health & Safety policies
* Protecting proprietary materials and understanding customer needs
* Maintaining strong business relationships and monitoring subcontractor activities
* Coordinating with transportation providers and responding to customer enquiries
* Reviewing purchase orders and shipping documents for accuracy
* Making special shipping arrangements as required
* Tracking and resolving shipping errors, preparing bills and invoices
* Ensuring quality standards are met and improving supply chain processes
