Type: Part-time, 20hours per week split over 5 days

Role Description:
As a Business Development Graduate you will help to grow our membership base, develop partnerships, and expand awareness of our products and services. You will play an important role in building connections with local businesses, schools, community groups, and potential members—while gaining first-hand experience in business development strategy and execution.
Key Functions
* Assist in the creation and delivery of a business development plan aligned with credit union objectives.
* Identify and approach potential members, employers, and community partners.
* Represent the credit union at events, community initiatives, and networking opportunities.
* Support the development of workplace partnership schemes and payroll deduction programmes.
* Work with the Marketing team to produce targeted promotional materials.
* Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities and service gaps.
* Maintain records of outreach activities and prepare reports for management.
* Gather feedback from members and community contacts to inform service improvements.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Confidence in presenting to individuals and groups.
* Self-motivated, with strong organisational skills.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* nterest in financial services and community development
Desirable
* Previous experience in customer service, sales, or community outreach.
* Knowledge of credit union values and services.
* Understanding of basic sales and lead generation techniques
* Interest in community outreach and financial inclusion initiatives.
Key Competencies:
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships
* Familiarity with compliance and advertising standards in the Irish financial sector
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across departments
