Cpl has the pleasure of working with a leading company in the Energy Sector who is looking to hire a Financial Accountant to join their growing team. Financial Accountant Location: Dublin 15 - (Occasional travel to our Kildare facility required) Role Type: Permanent Key Responsibilities: Produce weekly KPI reports on plant performance, energy generation, and cost efficiency. Manage the month-end and year-end financial close processes for both facilities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Prepare monthly management accounts, variance analyses, and financial performance packs. Review accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations. Financial modelling. Support operational teams with financial insights, budgeting, and forecasting for plant performance and efficiency projects. Collaborate with the Head Office Finance Team on consolidation, reporting, and financial system improvements. Ensure compliance with FRS102 and internal financial controls. Prepare capital expenditure tracking reports for ongoing projects, project accounting, and cost control for maintenance and expansion projects. Core cost tracking and profit maximisation. Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support management decisions and operational planning. Required Qualifications & Skills: Qualified or Finalist Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent). Strong technical accounting knowledge with experience in FRS102 reporting. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail. 2 +years PQE in an industrial, utilities, or renewable energy setting preferred. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems. Self-motivated and capable of working independently, with ongoing support from the Head Office Finance Team. Comfortable in a collaborative, cross-functional work environment and dealing with operational teams. A valid driving licence and access to a car are required for commuting to the facility sites.
