Job Purpose:
Reporting directly to the Radiography Services Manager the position of Clinical Specialist Radiographer – Interventional Radiology (IR) has responsibility to lead, guide and supervise Radiography staff and to successfully manage service delivery on a day to day basis in. Ability to manage in a rapidly changing environment and willingness to undertake such additional duties as may be assigned from time to time are essential.
The Interventional Radiology unit in the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital is a multidisciplinary unit. In addition to Radiography duties, the Clinical Specialist will liaise with Consultant Radiologists, SpRs and Nursing staff to assist in planning and developing a quality professional service to our patient cohort.
The role will include management of all Interventional Radiology units and Interventional Ultrasoundservice with expected expansion of service in the future. Ability to manage in a rapidly changing environment and willingness to undertake such additional duties as may be assigned from time to time are essential. Duties will include the organisation and provision of an on call services as deemed necessary.
This post is expected to develop and evolve in line with the expansion of the Interventional Radiology service in MMUH.
