Elite Talent Hub are currently partnered with a tier-one international engineering and infrastructure contractor on a senior SHES Manager (Power) appointment. The role covers a national portfolio of power and energy projects including LV/MV/HV networks, substations and renewables, with responsibility for leading SHES delivery across multiple live sites.
This is a senior, hands-on leadership role suited to someone comfortable operating in highly regulated, contractor-heavy environments, influencing culture, advising senior management, and setting the safety agenda across complex infrastructure programmes.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage all Safety, Health, Environmental and Sustainability activities across power and energy infrastructure projects nationwide.
* Implement and maintain ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 management systems, ensuring full legal and client compliance.
* Lead, mentor and coordinate SHES Advisors across multiple sites, driving consistent standards and behaviours.
* Develop and deliver HSE strategies, audits, inspections, risk assessments and performance reviews.
* Lead incident, near-miss and non-conformance investigations, ensuring robust root cause analysis and corrective actions.
* Act as the senior SHES point of contact for clients, regulators, subcontractors and internal leadership teams.
Key Skills
* Degree-qualified in Health & Safety or a related discipline.
* Minimum 5 years' experience on power or energy infrastructure projects (transmission, distribution, substations, renewables).
* Strong leadership capability with experience managing multi-site teams and contractors.
* Excellent working knowledge of Irish H&S legislation and ISO management systems.
* Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels and promote a proactive safety culture.
* Full clean driving licence and flexibility to travel nationally.
