Hotel Operations Manager

The ideal candidate will have an outgoing personality and enjoy dealing with people, working in a busy hotel environment covering areas such as private events, restaurant, bars, reception, and rooms.
\
We are looking for a motivated individual to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Hotel. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth Hotel operations during scheduled shifts, managing and motivating staff, and upholding high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety.
\
The successful applicant will deliver superior guest services, ensure absolute customer satisfaction, and appraise personnel performance while providing feedback to keep them upbeat and productive. Additionally, they will control costs, minimize waste, and nurture a positive working environment, leading by example.
\
The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2-3 years' experience as a manager in a relevant 3-4 star property and be a hands-on, natural leader who enjoys leading from the front. They should also have a passion for quality food and drink, strong communication skills, and a high level of initiative.

Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate the operation of the Hotel during scheduled shifts
\
2. Manage and motivate staff, upholding a constant level of staff productivity
\
3. Ongoing staff training in coffee, wine, and food items
\
4. Respond to customer queries and complaints
\
5. Deliver superior guest services and ensure absolute customer satisfaction
\
6. Appraise personnel performance and provide feedback to keep them upbeat and productive
\
7. Control costs and minimize waste
\
8. Nurture a positive working environment and lead by example
\
9. Comply with all company policies and procedures
\
10. Delegate responsibilities and maximize resources effectively
\
11. Ensure high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety
\
12. Candidate Requirements: Minimum 2-3 yrs experience as a manager in a relevant 3-4 star property essential

13. Able to work flexibly under pressure with a good sense of humour

14. Approachable with excellent people skills
