Job Description
As a Civil Contracts Manager, with a focus on Transmission & Distribution, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring project development, implementation and completion is achieved within the specified programme. You will work closely with the Project Management team and oversee the coordination and operation of the site to deliver key project milestones and successful project completion.
Your Responsibilities will include:
Reporting to the Operations Director and Division Director.
Overall responsibility of budgets, schedule, quality and health and safety on projects.
Ability to manage multiple projects where required.
Liaising with the Client and key project stakeholders when required.
Work directly with the relevant Director to expand the business through tendering and negotiating of new work.
Review tender submissions, valuation preparation and reporting on same.
Maintaining and developing relationships with Client.
Skills And Requirements
A degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
Proven experience in the construction and delivery of renewable energy projects, including wind and solar developments. This must include involvement with 38kV, 110kV, and 220kV medium-voltage substations, battery energy storage systems (BESS), grid connections including ground works, cut / fill excavations, road openings, and utility coordination.
A minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a similar site-based construction role is required.
Strong technical knowledge of electrical engineering principles as applied to energy infrastructure projects.
Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and mentor cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
Experience with Revit is desirable.
Excellent organisational and planning capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast‑paced project environment.
