A Commercial Manager
is required to one of Ireland's top Civil Engineering Contractors for a full-time, permanent position in the Munster Region.
The Commercial Manager will be responsible for overseeing the commercial aspects of multiple projects from inception to completion.
This position requires a strong background in cost management, contract administration, and commercial negotiations, along with the ability to manage client relationships and lead a dynamic commercial team.
Role
Oversee the commercial management of projects, including cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Prepare and review tender submissions, contract negotiations, and project proposals.
Manage the preparation of accurate valuations, applications for payments, and variations.
Ensure the timely and accurate submission of cost reports and forecasts to senior management and clients.
Monitor project performance against budgets and schedules, ensuring financial and commercial targets are met.
Work closely with project teams to ensure project delivery aligns with commercial objectives.
Manage subcontractor and supplier negotiations and agreements.
Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.
Requirements
Completed a relevant third level qualification.
At least 5-7 years' experience in a Commercial Manager role, with a strong background in managing large-scale infrastructure projects.
Proven experience in cost estimation, budgeting, and forecasting for civil engineering projects.
Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
Proficiency in managing project finances and reporting tools.
Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving approach to managing commercial challenges.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
Salary
Salary circa €100k – €120k NEG DOE
