Offer description

Our Purpose
The Enterprise Maintenance Excellence (EMEx) function at Medtronic plc is part of the Operations Innovation (OI) Group and focuses on optimising the full equipment lifecycle – from development through to decommissioning – through standardised work and engineering excellence. EMEx is deploying a global Computerised Asset Management System (CAMS) and standardised Work Management Process to enable consistent maintenance practices, improve data quality, and support data‑driven decision‑making across the enterprise.
We are seeking a Senior Maintenance Work Management Engineer to support global CMMS deployment in EMEA and APAC Regions. This role will act as a senior maintenance process and system Subject‑Matter‑Expert (SME), working with sites to understand current maintenance practices, support adoption of the future‑state model, and enable sustainable process and system adoption post go‑live.
Responsibilities

Support Site Transitions: Provide expertise to manufacturing sites transitioning from legacy CMMS systems to the Enterprise CAMS platform, supporting adoption of standardised maintenance work management processes.
Current‑State Discovery: Engage with site teams to assess existing maintenance practices, including work identification, planning, scheduling, execution, and close‑out, identifying gaps to the future‑state model.
Future‑State Enablement: Support sites in understanding the global maintenance work management process, including changes to roles, responsibilities, and expected behaviours across maintenance teams.
CMMS SME Support: Confidently navigate and demonstrate the CMMS to support deployment activities, translating system functionality into practical, real‑world maintenance use cases.
Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with maintenance, engineering, operations, and leadership teams to communicate what is changing, why it matters, and how to support successful adoption.
Data Migration Support: Collaborate with global program teams and site stakeholders to support data migration activities, providing maintenance context for asset structures, maintenance plans, and master data.
Training Reinforcement: Partner with system training teams to reinforce key concepts through practical examples, process walkthroughs, and on‑site engagement.
Hypercare Support: Support post‑go‑live activities, including issue triage, adoption coaching, and reinforcement of standardised processes and system usage.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with PMO, Change Management, Data Migration, QMS, Training, and IT teams to support successful deployment and resolve site‑specific challenges.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve deployment approaches, strengthen adoption, and capture lessons learned for future deployment waves.
