As a Yard Operative, you will play a vital role in maintaining our operational efficiency. Your primary responsibilities include conducting thorough inspections and cleaning of hire equipment, performing full function and safety testing, assisting with loading and unloading of vehicles, maintaining a safe, clean, and organized working area, instructing customers on proper equipment usage, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation and company policies.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and customer service skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, have good problem-solving skills and the ability to complete tasks thoroughly, and demonstrate previous experience in a similar role. Experience with forklift trucks and/or scissor and boom lifts is an advantage, as well as driving experience.
