Role Summary: As a key member of the RX & OTC Commercial team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our Dispensary (RX) commercial agreements across all Retail groups within SC&R. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially driven individual to make a meaningful impact in the pharmacy retail landscape through driving strategic partnerships.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Strategic Buying Leadership: Develop and implement a long-term buying strategy of the Uniphar’s Retail Pharmacy groups, through driving strong partnerships with Ethical manufacturer and suppliers.
* Margin Optimization: Ensure that Ethical product agreements deliver best in class value and availability to our retail network
* Compliance: Drive profitability for Uniphar Symbol pharmacy group members through regular reviews and improvement of compliance with preferred supplier agreements.
* Systems Support: Assist in the maintenance and development of Head Office Dispensary systems to support efficient operations
* Process Improvement: Actively working as a part of the team to identify opportunities to improve on internal processes & communication
* Retail Collaboration: Working closely with the Retail Operations teams to ensure compliance and communication to stores
* Demand Planning: Working closely with the Wholesale team on robust forecasting
* Performance Reporting: Prepare and deliver insightful weekly and monthly reports on commercial performance and key outcomes.
* Relationship Building: Attend meetings and visits with Retail Pharmacy members, strengthening relationships and providing support as needed.
QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED
* Experience in the pharmacy sector essential
* Proven analytical skills combined with excellent commercial acumen are essential
* Minimum of 3 years purchasing experience within a multi-site retail or wholesale business desirable
* Third level qualification in Buying or business-related disciplinedesirable
* Self-Starter with a proven track record of business development
* Experience in incorporating a financial and strategic perspective to procurement policies
* Strong Excel & Power point skills essential
* Ability to work well within a team
