As a digital innovation leader, we invest into our solutions, processes, systems, and talent.We are actively hiring a VP for our Private Market's division as this is an exciting time to join our innovative engineering teams as we are investing in growing out our European presence and leadership to help drive our next phase of growth.Summary:As the lead VP managing the global engineering team and working closely with Product Development, you will be responsible for defining, driving and delivering on all aspects of the CRPM solution. Your team will consist of full stack engineers who will be responsible for the enhancement and maintenance of multiple Private Markets modules, working as part of an agile scrum team.Responsibilities:Manage a team, including recruiting, mentoring and career development of a geographically dispersed team of engineersCollaborate with Business Analysts and Product Managers to create simple and sustainable software solutions for complex problemsAnalyze, design, develop, test, and debug large and complex software enhancements and solutions within Charles River's business and technical problem domains including modifications to core frameworks and other primary facilities critical to system operationDirect problem solving for projects or major phases of projects to resolve software technical issuesProvide troubleshooting on large, mission critical client implementationsEngage in the agile software development process by adhering to and advancing the CRD scrum methodology, including attending all daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectivesEducation Requirements:B.S. degree Computer Science or other technical course of study required. MS degree preferred.Key skills and prior experience:10+ years developing event driven architectures, financial services a plusPrevious managerial experience building, growing and leading diverse teamsExperience in cloud native development using Java, Spring, Angular or ReactExperience in developing observable, operable cloud native software that horizontally scalesExperience with relational databases (RDBMS)Demonstrated problem solving abilities involving multi-tiered, high-performance database applicationsDemonstrated ability to design and develop software solutions to business and technical problems of high complexityOutstanding written and verbal communication skillsAble to work well with peers in a collaborative team environmentEmployees are expected to work from the office 3 days a week.Travel:May be required on a limited basis.About State StreetWhat we do.
