Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our team on an initial interim contract for 6 months with potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensuring the accurate, secure and timely payment of staff.
* Providing advice and guidance to staff on all aspects of salary sacrifice arrangements, pay and benefits.
* Assisting with the calculation of bonuses, taxable benefits and validation of P11Ds.
* Ensuring any changes to payroll legislation are implemented.
* Maintaining and storing HR & payroll information according to current legislation, audit and security standards and General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) requirements.
* Interrogating and producing reports from the payroll and HRIS.
* Validating payroll output reports provided by the third party.
* Applying all aspects of a pay award.
* Assisting with payroll queries.
Requirements
* At least 3 years experience in end-to-end payroll with the ability to carry out tasks with minimum supervision.
* Experience of calculating and processing statutory and occupational pay including SMP, SPP, Sh PP, SAP, SSP etc.
* Experience working with salary sacrifices.
* Experience of processing new starts and leavers.
* Up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation.
* Ability to manually calculate a pay slip.
* Experience of computerised payroll systems.
