Based in Navan, Ireland, Timoney is now looking to hire a Quality Manager to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
Management and improvement of current ISO management systems: maintenance and improvement and support of quality management system, management review, conducting internal auditing, maintaining and updating the quality manual.
Develop and implement quality standards: establish and maintain quality control processes and standards to ensure products meet customer expectations as well as regulatory and internal requirements.
Conduct testing and inspections: perform regular audits and inspections of products and processes to identify defects and areas for improvement.
Inspection of incoming and outgoing product to ensure conformance to specifications.
Document and report issues: maintain detailed records of quality issues, inspections, and testing results, and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
Manage customer complaints: maintain detailed records of customer complaints, lead the investigation and closure of issues and implementation of corrective actions.
Health and safety: be instrumental in ensuring workplace safety, compliance with regulations, and promoting a culture of health and safety within the organisation.
Collaborate with teams: work closely with engineering, production, and other departments to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Train staff: provide training and support to employees on quality assurance standards and practices to foster a culture of quality within the organisation.
Export compliance and control: ensure compliance with export control rules and regulations through the implementation of systems and processes, including making export license applications and renewals, performing end-user due diligence and compiling management reports.
Qualifications / Professional Skills / Knowledge
Third-level relevant degree.
Strong understanding of quality management systems (QMS).
Experience with ISO **** Quality Management Systems.
Project management skills.
Strong technical aptitude, ability to apply structured problem-solving techniques, and Lean principles.
Proven track record of leading audits (internal, external, supplier).
Experience implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Managing supplier quality and customer complaints.
Experience with ERP/MES systems and quality management software.
Strong team leadership and people management abilities.
Effective communication skills to work across departments and with customers/suppliers.
Decision-making and analytical thinking under pressure.
Ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
