Job OverviewTE Connectivity is seeking a Manufacturing Balloons Engineer. Working within the core Engineering group, report to the Senior Engineer. The role focuses on delivering improvements, data analysis, root cause analysis, supporting Technicians in a polymer Balloons environment, and supporting all engineering activity in areas of responsibility.ResponsibilitiesWork with key business stakeholders and operations teams to build a continuous improvement environment that supports ongoing change and improvement initiatives.Support the delivery of better value and greater efficiency through the identification and elimination of unnecessary complexity within Balloon forming processes and identification of simplified ways of working.Identify and implement permanent and effective technical / system solutions to quality and technical problems.Improve Balloon forming manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.Implement equipment maintenance procedures for critical equipment.Investigate new process technologies and evaluate potential competitive advantage and cost-benefit of introduction.Meet customer requirements and commitments to excellence in performance and deadlines.Maintain high quality/compliance standards in line with Medical Devices manufacturing requirements within Creganna Medical, part of TE Connectivity.Resolve quality and technical issues to minimize impact on product supply.Work as part of Production Support team to drive product and process improvements.Update Manufacturing procedures, specs as required through change control process.Ensure that all Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are fulfilled.Lead/participate in continuous improvement projects to reduce scrap.New equipment introductions – EIQ/EOQ, DOE & Process OQ/PQ Validations.QualificationsLevel 8 Polymer degree, or equivalent.Preferably a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role.Experience on Balloon forming processes is a distinct advantage.Process troubleshooting experience.Designed and validated new manufacturing methods and equipment in collaboration with vendors.Ability to plan, organize, and implement multiple concurrent tasks and projects.Jigs & Fixtures design and maintenance experience is a plus.Practical understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and statistics.Operating knowledge of Minitab; SolidWorks/AutoCAD a plus.Dynamic, motivated, flexible, results-oriented attitude.Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills.Knowledge of ISO & FDA compliance.Compensation and BenefitsCompetitive Salary PackagePerformance-Based Bonus PlansHealth and Wellness IncentivesEmployee Stock Purchase ProgramCommunity Outreach Programs / Charity EventsEmployee Resource GroupImportant Notice Regarding Recruitment FraudTE Connectivity has become aware of fraudulent recruitment activities.
