Job Purpose:
To provide administrative and clerical support to ensure the smooth operation of the organization's daily activities. Working within a not-for-profit environment, the Clerical Officer contributes to the effective delivery of services that support the organization's mission and values.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide general administrative support including filing, photocopying, scanning, and document preparation
Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, both electronic and paper-based
Assist with data entry for grant applications, donor databases, or programme monitoring
Schedule meetings, take minutes, and coordinate calendars for team members
Support the preparation of reports, funding documentation, and internal communications
Liaise with staff, volunteers, funders, and community partners as needed
Maintain office supplies and handle procurement requests
Ensure confidentiality and compliance with GDPR and organizational policies
Coordinate and assist across all departments within the organization to ensure smooth delivery of service.
Essential Requirements:
A minimum of five years' experience in a clerical or administrative role, ideally in a not-for-profit or community-based setting.
Strong IT skills with a good working knowledge of IT packages appropriate to a modern office administration environment.
Willingness to participate in training and up-skilling as prescribed from time to time to meet current and emerging requirements of our funders.
Excellent organizational and time management skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Ability to work on own initiative and collaboratively with colleagues and other staff.
Good written and verbal communication skills with a key focus on attention to detail
Adaptability: Support change and innovation initiatives within the organisation.
Professional Conduct: Represent the organisation in a positive manner
Full clean driving licence and use of a vehicle
Desirable:
Experience of working in a good customer service environment
Knowledge of charity governance, funding and community engagement
Experience in coordinating public events and volunteer workshops

Pay: €29,000.00-€36,000.00 per year
